SYMPTOM: 

After installing SOLIDWORKS and CheckMate 14, picking points for measurements is unsuccessful. Measurements that you create on the CAD get projected out into space, if they get created at all. 

SOLUTION: there are some setting in the SOLIDWORKS Options setting screen that need to be checked. We recommend that you try changing one setting at a time, and verify if that resolves the issue.
