Stiffer competition and advances in machining and processes is placing higher demands on dimensional metrology in manufacturing in North America. Origin will present at McMaster Open House some examples of customer applications for adaptive manufacturing of castings, complex 3D GD&T in precision machining, the emergence of laser scanning technology in metrology and soft gauging concepts for advanced GD&T corrective action studies.
