Process Correction

The capability to evaluate multiple what-if corrective action scenarios and their impact on SPC characteristics before modifying hard tooling.

Resolving dimensional problems in high volume manufacturing presents the additional problem of basing decisions on multiple samples. Typically, making "knee jerk" tooling decisions on data from a single sample results in multiple iterations of expensive fixes and adjustments. With Origin's SoftFit Solver, any number of dimensional fixes can be evaluated using data from a representative sample of parts. All aspects of the "what-if" decision making process are done while simultaneously evaluating the relative impact on the SPC characteristics. This approach leads to the development of robust tooling.
